Birth Through 5th Grade
We are For The Kids; for the kids of our church, for the kids of our city, for the kids of our world. This ministry exists to teach kids about the loving grace of Jesus and all that He commanded, on the level that kids can understand and implement into their everyday life. While your kids are always welcome to attend service with you, we believe they will have more fun and understand more in For The Kids. As our kids grow up in our city, they are faced with more challenges than we ever had. It's that more important to start them on the firm foundation of Christ from an early age.
We value Jesus.
Every child will hear about Jesus, and how He died for their sins. We don't believe you are ever too young to begin following Jesus (even though it may take several years to fully understand what that means). We want to teach our kids how to experience Jesus on their own, so they grow to have a vibrant relationship with Him well into their adult years.
We value safety.
Every volunteer undergoes a background check and training before serving with our kids. We want to ensure the safety of every child entrusted to us, so we take this seriously. Kids attend church in their own environment that is safe for ages birth all the way through 5th grade. When you arrive at church, you will check each child into our system, letting us know they are here. When you return after the service, you must present the corresponding tag to the Kids volunteers in order to check out your child for the day.
We value fun.
Following Jesus is fun! Learning about Him can be fun too. We play games and make crafts that help solidify the weekly message, so that our kids fully grasp the concept that is taught. Sometimes, silliness and laughing is the gateway to a principle sticking with our kids for life!
